Services

The functions of the County Clerk’s office deal with three main areas – Elections, Licensing and Legislative/Administration.  The Clerk is responsible for the administration and conduct of all federal, state, county, local and school district elections.  The office issues marriage licenses, DNR hunting and fishing licenses and distributes dog licenses to municipalities.  The office is also a US Passport acceptance agency.  The County Clerk is the Official Clerk for the Racine County Board.  The office maintains all ordinances, resolutions, reports, and contracts.  Responsible for publishing official notices and County Board minutes, compiling the county directory of public officials and preparation of tax apportionments in addition to other duties specified by state statutes.
