Services
The Adams County Clerk’s Office issues marriage licenses; administers elections, serves as a WisVote provider for 13 municipalities; Clerk to the County Board of Supervisors; processes timber cutting permits; and all duties required by State Statutes.
County Information
Adams County is known for its community of kindness. Adams County Parks, Castle Rock and Petenwell, are on the second and fourth largest inland lakes in Wisconsin. We have 26 lakes for fishing and water activities. Adams County has 7 golf courses, numerous great restaurants, over 40 miles of ATV trails, 230 miles of snowmobile trails, 25 miles of horse trails, several campgrounds, local parks, 23 rock formations, bluffs, wetlands, many hiking trails, 2 rustic roads and is home to Roche-A-Cri State Park, and 4 State Wildlife Areas. We offer many county events throughout the year for families, including the Adams County Fair, which highlights Adams County’s roots in agriculture. In summer, we have farmer’s markets every week and a huge flea market on weekends. Also located in Adams County is a community theatre, a winery, antique shops and our Historical Society that highlights the history of our community. There is always something to do year round in Adams County. Our motto is “Come, Play, Stay!”
